A little (more) about me

I’m an independent journalist and freelance marketing writer based out of South India.

I got my first paycheck at 15, for covering badminton and athletics events at the Asian Youth Games held in Singapore in 2009.

I’m a big believer in the James Joyce quote “In the particular lies the universal.” I’m convinced that details are everything, that every rising and falling arc of a character, every hair out of place tells a larger truth about the world. As a result, I spend a lot of time chasing geese and diving deep inside rabbit holes.

Here are some details about me. Apart from writing, I love music and animals. I’m a die-hard fan of Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple. I love reading literature in translation. I’m a vegetarian, I can sing and play three instruments and dream of all the ways to end animal cruelty someday.
